Hi Lynae,

I’ve got that great song in my head now!

This is one lesson I keep learning over and over as the most powerful. Reminds me of the old “putting on your oxygen mask first before assisting others” idea. The more you respect and give to yourself, the more you can truly shine your light and give to others!

The way I will respect myself more in the New Year – take more focused time to reflect…just for me.

Respect is…
…recognizing that everyone has a point-of-view that can inform me, even when I hold the opposite point-of-view.
…being willing to listen to understand.
…seeking illumination.
…disagreeing without being disagreeable.
…remembering that everyone carries a burden.

As old Plato said, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”
